Technical Support Professional

We are looking for an enthusiastic technical support professional who can support the web developers who are building apps with AppMachine. You will support the users while they implement JavaScript or add webservices and authentication to their app. You will build your own AppMachine plugins and test the plugins developers built for AppMachine. You will work closely with our development team in the Netherlands to improve the functionality of the Pro version.

The day-to-day activities of this position are varied (Never a dull day!). This is a customer-facing position, so the candidate should be outgoing and personable. The applicant will be required to handle all technical support requirements in the US, including email and phone support for prospective and new clients.

AppMachine has recently opened an office in San Francisco. You will be working together with our product evangelist in the US and the team will be expanding in the following months.

The ideal candidate will have a background in web technologies, like HTML5, JavaScript and web services, especially REST APIs. A familiarity with graphic design would also be highly desirable.

The position requires the occasional creation and delivery of technical presentations to customers and at technical events. You will also occasionally be required to deliver a webinar or create training videos for the website.

Would require at least one 1 (and perhaps more) trips per year to the Netherlands for training

Requirements:

  • Resolve support queries, both by phone and by email

The Technical Solutions Engineer will work with cross functional groups to develop, drive and execute a well-managed, well-architected, sustainable and growing portfolio of partnerships through technical acumen and relationship optimization practices. The role will require working collaboratively with Product Management, Engineering and Product Marketing teams to deliver world-class and expedient technical integration with maximum return on investment from an assigned portfolio of publisher partnerships. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for publishing partners and responsible for managing their onboard experience and/or the on-going technical relationship with GoDaddy. The role is highly visible and will have ton of exposure to senior management within and outside GoDaddy.

As a Technical Solutions Engineer you will formulate integration and continuous improvement strategies with publisher partners and internal core teams who collaboratively drive success for Get Found product. The role will add value by leading the execution of our publisher partnership strategy to grow end product satisfaction, support the deployment of publisher integration and develop and promote repeatable technical solutions relevant across multiple publisher partners. Accountabilities include consistent and vigilant publisher integration pipeline management, publisher listings readiness preparation, ability to deliver listings performance by publisher, participation in publisher strategy, inclusive of pro-active communication to an internal management team.

Success is measured internally by the number of publisher engineering and roadmap wins, publisher engagement rates/metrics that meet or exceed expectations, negotiating technical solutions to create win/win/win results for publisher operations, GoDaddy and ultimately our customers.

The role adds value to publisher partners by helping them understand and drive new and innovative technical opportunities for their business and deepen their strategic relationship with GoDaddy. In this role, you will:

  • Execute quality publisher integration plans that align with the Get Found product needs and the Publisher Partner's Engineering Roadmap.
  • Negotiate technical requirements with publisher operators supporting the launch, execution and marketing of our publisher pipeline
  • Develop and maintain broad and deep external publisher relationships within the managed partners
  • Write code that goes directly in our product

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field and Strong knowledge of APIs (JSON, XML, RESTful APIs)
  • Minimum of 1 year professional development experience

Role Information

We're looking for a passionate software engineer that loves Javascript (browser-based and Node.js) and has a keen understanding of high performance architectures and technologies. You will be responsible for building products that leverage the latest horizontal scaling solutions such as NoSQL and Node.js. As a full-stack engineer, you will have ownership to solve problems from top to bottom, from the client-side to the backend.

You will have an active role on the transition from .Net to an Open Source stack, using Node.js and Cassandra and other technologies, helping to build the expertise on Node and deliver a solid platform for GoDaddy's Online Presence products. This Team is responsible for building our new Website Builder including user facing features on a scalable architecture that will impact millions of Small Business owners. The goal is to make this product one of the largest Node.js based applications in the industry over the next few years. Within Accenture Technology Architecture, Emerging Technology Innovation is responsible for driving new service offerings and building the initial delivery skills in select areas of emerging technology. Emerging Technology Innovation professionals are responsible for participating in asset development work, building new skills in emerging areas and working at clients proving and further developing these skills and assets on pioneering and defining engagements.

As a Technical Architect Consultant within the Applications Group of Emerging Technology, you will be responsible for

  • Architecting complex IT solutions based on emerging technologies for Accenture’s clients
  • Developing strong relationships with technology vendors to influence emerging product strategies
  • Developing new IT frameworks, delivery approaches and methods and championing them with our clients and within Accenture’s Technology practice.

Accenture's ETI practice provides a unique opportunity for entrepreneurial technology architects to be focused on emerging technologies and finding opportunities to architect the next generation, large-scale business systems and infrastructure at our clients, working with some of Accenture’s clients, across North America.

Basic Qualifications:

Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering (or similar field);

3+ years of experience in architecting, designing, implementing IT architectures and applications revolving around:

  • Cloud Computing
  • Complex Event Processing
  • Dynamic languages and advanced Java
  • Massive Data Warehouses
  • Advanced Business Process Management systems
  • Open Source Software (with project delivery experience using Liferay, Talend, Alfresco)
  • High Security systems
  • Next Generation IT technologies
  • Extreme Transaction Processing systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in IT-related fields and a strong interest in leading-edge technologies
  • Highly developed critical evaluation skills, and the ability to assess the potential impact of emerging technologies
  • Ability to propose innovative technology solutions within the constraints of large-scale enterprises, and take the lead in implementing and evaluating these solutions
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the larger implications of an emerging technology or practice
  • Experience in IT delivery life-cycle planning and management methodologies and tools
  • Experience in common architecture frameworks and services, including those available from Open Source communities
